Initially, it’s important to find a type or range that works for you. It helps people (read as, casting directors) know who you are. Working within that path of least resistance. If you’re short, like me, but think your a runway model type, you don’t know your market.

But that doesn’t mean you STOP developing as an actor. Use the character traits you’ve discovered to get yourself working, but continue to learn new facets of your person. There will come a time where an opportunity will present itself and you want to be ready.
